Founded by Pascal and Catherine Cagni

pascal cagni 1

Pascal grew up in a multicultural environment, combining the discipline and rigor of Alsace with the creativity of his Lombard roots. Scholarships and life-changing encounters shaped his path. He chose to embrace the digital revolution by joining Compaq, Packard Bell, and later Apple.

Building on this experience, and inspired by philanthropic journeys with his wife Catherine and their children Inès, Diane, Paul and Charles — in Southeast Asia with Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, in India with Barefoot College, and in Africa with Living with Elephants, to name just a few — he wanted to give as many people as possible the opportunity to build their future and the means to succeed.

He founded the Cagni Foundation C4 in 2011 together with Catherine, while he was still serving as Vice President and Managing Director of Apple Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA).
Since then, the Foundation has worked to create a meaningful and positive impact on society, focusing its efforts on the future: providing education and training, access to work, better living conditions, and fostering self-confidence, inclusion, and tolerance.

To raise awareness around respect and tolerance, the Foundation works to combat all forms of discrimination, particularly those based on origin or skin color. Through education in particular, it contributes to mutual understanding between communities.

To improve the living conditions of vulnerable people, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, or those facing financial hardship, we provide and fund facilities dedicated to leisure and health.

They speak about us

Co-Founder, Arago
The depth and quality of conversation we’re able to have with the C4 Ventures team sets them apart. Innovating in the semiconductor industry is arguably one of the toughest challenges. Hundreds of billions of dollars have been invested in this space, making it extremely difficult for startups to break through. That’s why partnering with former operators from the industry was so important to us. ”

C4 Ventures is the rare kind of investor with an operator mindset, who rolls up their sleeves. They’re not just advisors, they are operating partners who understand the realities of building and scaling companies. Their support goes well beyond the boardroom and has a real impact on our execution.”
Nigel Toon

CEO, Graphcore
“C4 Ventures was among the earliest investors to spot the potential in Graphcore, and the AI compute opportunity more broadly. Their belief, and ongoing support enabled Graphcore to reach critical mass and ultimately bring our products to a global market.”

President & COO, Impulse Space
“From the beginning, C4 has shown a clear interest in the scope of what we’re building at Impulse – not just the technology, but also the long-term vision and the operational discipline behind it. They ask thoughtful questions, offer grounded perspectives, and have been engaged in key parts of the journey. C4 isn’t just investing in space – they’re paying attention to how it’s being built.”

C4 Ventures stands out in the small world of venture capital. Not only do they bring deep product, technology and GTM expertise to the table, but they really are entrepreneurs first. I always felt like I had an extra co-founder supporting us and pushing us to achieve our best!”
